Open House

Open houses are a great way to bring in potential buyers who may not be ready to schedule a showing but are more than willing to come to this event. Spring months are an excellent time to hold your house open as more buyers enter the market.

While your Shorewest, REALTOR® is hard at work looking for interested buyers, here are some simple steps you can take to prepare your home:

Clean & Declutter
Present your home at its best! Buyers will be looking in every single room so don’t skip any. They will also be looking inside closets and the pantry so take this time to organize and tidy up.

Tell Your Neighbors
They may know potential buyers! The best way to get the word out…is to literally get the word out! Never underestimate the simple power of telling your neighbors and friends and having them spread the word.

Secure All Valuables
This would include all jewelry and small electronics. Don’t forget laptops, iPods or cell phones as well.

Remove Prescription Drugs
Lastly, remove prescription drugs from medicine cabinets and counters.

Your Shorewest, REALTOR® will ask visitors to sign in and will also lock all doors and windows at the conclusion of the open house. By cooperating with your Shorewest, REALTOR® your open house can be a productive and hopefully rewarding experience in finding the right buyer! Find our video here.
